Position Overview : The CTO/ VP of Engineering will be responsible for leading the technology and engineering agenda of Simplotel. This position requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation, manage complex engineering projects, and lead a team of engineers to deliver world-class products and solutions. The role involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure that the technology infrastructure supports the companys overall goals. Responsibilities : - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Serve as the technical expert, designing and architecting scalable solutions while leveraging modern technologies to enhance productivity, scalability, and cost-efficiency. - Ensure optimal performance and high availability of our SaaS software, with effective management of live site operations. - Implement and enforce engineering processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and the Software Development Life Cycle. - Oversee software development projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while identifying and mitigating risks. - Own and optimize infrastructure costs, ensuring efficient use of resources. - Manage operational requests from other teams, addressing their productivity needs and ensuring alignment with internal requirements. - Present technology vision and architectural strategies to customers, investors, and both internal and external stakeholders. - Experience in driving Product Management is a desirable plus. Position: Lead - Software Engineer As a Lead - Software Engineer, you will take ownership of technical delivery, guide engineering best practices, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on in coding and solution implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, and strong process skills to ensure high quality delivery of product. Position Lead / Manager Engineer Your Role and Responsibilities : - Write high-performance and sustainable back-end applications using Python programming language and the Django framework. - Contribute to solution design and architecture while working closely with senior engineers to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.Implement new features and proactively optimise the existing code. - Integrations with third-party systems like Payment gateways and Channel managers. - Implement and uphold engineering best practices, including code reviews, design discussions, and adherence to the development lifecycle.. - Mentoring junior backend engineers. - Own and optimize infrastructure costs, ensuring efficient use of resources. - Monitor infrastructure usage and work with the team to optimize costs where possible.
