The Opportunity :

The Digital IT Architect has responsibility for developing solutions and driving the digital transformation of the IT applications landscape in conjunction with the business, global stakeholders and local/regional IT organizations.

As a Senior Architect, you will play a key leadership role in shaping Zurich Kotaks technology landscape and supporting our strategic transformation agenda.

You will be accountable for defining end?to-end solutions for complex, cross?functional initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with our architecture, security and regulatory expectations. You will act as a trusted technology partner to senior business leaders, influencing strategic decisions and guiding multiple delivery teams towards common architectural goals.

This role suits an experienced architecture leader who can combine strong technical depth with strategic thinking, stakeholder management and the ability to drive change across a large organization.

What will you be doing ?

- Participate in strategic transformation planning with senior business and technology leaders

- Engage with business stakeholders on digital initiatives and proposed solution architectures.

- Create architecture & high level aligned with business needs and best practices per initiative.

- Communicate and obtain buy-in from Business and IT stakeholders on the strategic direction and engagement on individual projects

- Creation of application technical design documents to guide development / delivery.

- Provide technical leadership to project delivery teams specifically technical leads, senior developers and business analysts.

- Coach senior developers on tech & design best practices

- Make pragmatic and delivery focused technical decisions.

- Ensure that project teams follow agreed architecture & design.

- Investigate new technologies, platforms and design patterns as applicable to business focus areas.

- Work with IT Vendors, partners and internal delivery teams in ensuring pragmatic project delivery.

What are we looking for ?

- 15+ years in IT across multiple IT disciplines.

- Prior experience in Applications Architecture in Insurance / financial services industry

- Broad experience with recent technologies and applications integration paradigms.

- Recent experience with UI/UX technologies, APIs and systems integration.

- Prior experience in an IT delivery role. Relatively recent code-level experience in Java & JavaScript highly regarded.

- Recent experience in Agile delivery / DevOps.

- Understanding of Architecture methodologies and standards.

- Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies

- Working knowledge of applications information security

- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its applicability to business opportunities

- Ability to understand business requirements in detail.

- Passion for new and emerging technologies. Ability to investigate these in depth and apply them to business opportunities.

- APIs and Microservices design.

- Strong Object oriented modelling & design skills.

- Knowledge of data modelling / database design concepts

- Good understanding of Java & Javascript programming. Ability to read and understand code.

- Strong understanding of cloud capabilities for applications (eg containers, relational database services).
