Responsibilities and deliverables for role :

- zSystems mainframe Network System programmer responsible for configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of VTAM and TCPIP.

- Responsibilities also include installation and support of Connect:Direct/NDM.

- Ability to set up and troubleshoot native file transfer products such as FTP, SFTP, and FTPS using TLS

- Experience with Policy Agent configuration.

Potential challenges of the role :

- Serve in an on call rotation that will require working on some weekends during maintenance change windows.

Candidate Profile :

Required and preferred qualifications :

- Minimal 10 years experience configuring and troubleshooting zSeries Communication Services VTAM, TCPIP, TN3270. (Required).

- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Netview, Mainview or Omegamon. (Required)

- Familiarity with Connect:Direct and Connect:Direct File Agent (Optional)

- Experienced in the use of SMPE (Optional)

- Experience in the use of REXX and/or Netview REXX. (Optional)

- Ability to use AI tools to analyze data and provide recommendations and implement solutions.

- Ability to use M365 Copilot AI to recap meetings and draft emails

- Ability to stay educated in the role of AI for a LinuxOne System Programmer
