Position summary:

The Software Engineer II will be a strong individual contributor responsible for designing, developing and supporting scalable enterprise applications and APIs. The engineer will work closely with senior engineers and product teams to deliver modern cloud-based solutions while contributing to engineering quality, system reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop scalable backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps teams throughout the software-development lifecycle.

- Participate in technical-design discussions and code reviews.

- Write unit and integration tests.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

- Contribute to CI/CD automation and engineering best practices.

- Support semantic content-enrichment and knowledge-graph capabilities.

Required qualifications:

- 4+ years of software-development experience.

- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.

- REST API development, SQL databases, AWS cloud services, Docker.

- CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, Agile development methodologies.

- JUnit and Mockito.

- Expert.ai experience for natural-language understanding, entity extraction and AI-driven content enrichment.

- GraphDB and SPARQL experience, RDF-based knowledge graphs.

- Graph-data modelling and ontology design, Linked-data principles and property-graph patterns.

- Semantic modelling using OWL, RDF/RDFS and SKOS.

- Semantic text analytics for automated classification, tagging and content intelligence.

Preferred qualifications:

- Kubernetes, React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Kafka or other event-driven systems, NoSQL databases, Observability and monitoring tools.
