Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled data professional to lead and support the migration of analytics and data transformation workloads from Alteryx to Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power Query (M language), Dataflows, and Python, along with strong hands-on experience in translating complex Alteryx workflows into scalable, maintainable Fabric solutions.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and platform architects to modernize data pipelines, improve performance, and enable enterprise-grade analytics on Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities :
Alteryx to Fabric Migration :
- Analyse existing Alteryx workflows and map them to equivalent Microsoft Fabric components such as Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Notebooks
- Rebuild and optimize Alteryx transformations using Power Query (M), Fabric Dataflows, and Python
- Ensure functional parity, accuracy, and performance during migration
- Identify opportunities to simplify, optimize, or redesign workflows during migration.
- Optimize Power Query performance for large datasets
- Implement data validation, error handling, and data quality checks within Dataflows
Python & Advanced Transformations :
- Use Python (in Fabric Notebooks or pipelines) for :
1. Complex transformations not easily achievable in Power Query
2. Automation, data enrichment, and custom logic
3. Advanced calculations and data profiling
- Integrate Python-based processing with Fabric Lakehouse and OneLake
- Apply best practices for scalable and maintainable Python code
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working on large-scale analytics migrations
- Knowledge of Azure services (ADF, Azure SQL, ADLS) is a plus
- Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
