Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

- Provide expert technical leadership for the Java practice, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

- Drive the adoption of best practices in Java (821), Spring Boot, RESTful services, ORMs, JMS/Event Streams, and multi-threaded systems.

- Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategy for Java-based applications.

Cloud & DevOps Enablement :

- Leverage hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) to architect and guide cloud-native application development and deployment.

- Champion DevSecOps principles, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and secure software delivery.

- Oversee the implementation and utilization of observability stacks for monitoring and troubleshooting.

Problem Solving & Solutioning :

- Apply excellent problem-solving and solutioning skills to address complex technical challenges and translate business requirements into effective technical designs.

- Guide teams through complex technical decision-making processes.

Talent Management & Growth :

- Play a pivotal role in hiring, mentoring, and grooming technical talent across various locations, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

- Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, contributing to their professional growth.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering leads to align on technical strategies and project deliverables.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- Extensive experience (12-18 years suggested) in Java software development, with a significant portion in a leadership or architectural role.

- Strong proficiency in Java (versions 821), Spring Boot, RESTful services, ORMs (e.g., Hibernate, JPA), JMS/Event Streams (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and designing/implementing multi-threaded systems.

- Solid hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.

- Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure), including relevant services.

- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD methodologies, and observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and solutioning skills with a strategic mindset.

- Prior experience in hiring, mentoring, and grooming technical talent across diverse teams and locations.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
