Position : SAP MDM Consultant

Location : Pune

Notice Period : Immediate joiners or up to 30 days preferred

What Were Looking For :

Experience & Expertise :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MDM / Master Data Management / Data Quality initiatives.

- Strong understanding of MDM architecture, data governance models, data quality management, and master data lifecycle processes.

- Experience working with Material, Customer, Vendor, Product Master or other key data domains.

Technical & Functional Skills :

- Strong capabilities in solution design, configuration, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

- Proficiency in data profiling, cleansing, validation, enrichment, and anomaly detection.

- Experience in designing workflows, validation rules, matching/merging logic, and governance processes.

- Good understanding of integration between SAP MDM, ECC/S4HANA, and non-SAP systems.

- Familiarity with MDG, data migration tools, and ETL concepts is an added advantage.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in regulated, quality-focused environments ensuring high data integrity.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Experience working within Agile / blended delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities :

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance of master data across systems.

- Implement and enforce data governance policies, validation rules, and approval workflows.

- Lead MDM solution design, enhancements, and configuration activities.

- Deliver high-quality technical specifications, test cases, and deployment documentation.

- Perform detailed data profiling and root-cause analysis to identify quality gaps.

- Drive data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation initiatives in line with business standards.

- Support data migration activities during rollouts, conversions, or S/4HANA transitions.

- Collaborate with business teams, developers, functional consultants, and architects.

- Support workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and UAT.

- Ensure smooth communication and alignment between technical and business teams.

- Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure timely resolution.

- Monitor data loads, workflows, and governance processes to maintain system health.

- Continuously optimize MDM processes to reduce defects and improve throughput.

- Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

- Ensure strict adherence to change management, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
