About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the next phase of our infrastructure automation, cloud optimization, and DevOps transformation initiatives.

This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and a proven ability to guide and mentor a growing DevOps team.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in modernizing our infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless, scalable, and secure deployments.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Automation & IaC :

- Architect, implement, and standardize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

- Drive automation of provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines.

- Ensure consistent environment builds across dev, staging, and production.

System Reliability & Performance :

- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across systems.

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for system reliability.

- Reduce operational risks through automation and standardization.

DevOps Leadership & Governance :

- Establish DevOps best practices, governance models, and operational standards.

- Create and enforce configuration management processes.

- Lead the modernization of existing infrastructure and eliminate technical debt.

DevSecOps / GitSecOps Implementation :

- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

- Implement GitSecOps practices to ensure secure infrastructure and code management.

- Integrate automated security scanning tools such as :

1. SAST

2. DAST

- Container image scanning

- Dependency vulnerability scanning

Disaster Recovery & Resilience :

- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity strategies.

- Define RTO and RPO targets for critical services.

- Implement backup automation and cross-region resilience strategies.

Cloud & Infrastructure Optimization :

- Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud and data-center infrastructure.

- Conduct regular audits of resources, utilization, and efficiency gaps.

- Implement scaling strategies and effective resource management.

Team Leadership :

- Mentor, guide, and grow the DevOps engineering team.

- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across pipelines and infrastructure.

- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, DBA, and Security teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS).

- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Proficiency in Linux administration, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).

- Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and high-availability architectures.

- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Proven track record of leading DevOps/Infra teams or major automation initiatives.

- Hands-on experience with AWS security services such as IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Cloudwatch, GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, Security Hub, Secrets Manager, Firewall, WAF, Cloudfront, Control Tower and AWS Config.

- Design and implement secure network architectures (VPCs, private subnets, security groups, NACLs, VPN/Direct Connect).

- Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats using logging and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Athena and GuardDuty.

- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity strategies.

- Stay updated with AWS security best practices and proactively recommend improvements.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Good to have Certifications in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).

- Experience with cost-optimization frameworks in cloud environments.

- Exposure to microservices architecture and API deployment workflows.

- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
