About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with strong technical expertise and excellent client-facing skills.

The ideal candidate will have a background in a service-based organization, experience leading technical teams, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to set and manage expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.

- Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.

- Set the right expectations with clients, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of projects.

- Take ownership of technical decisions and ensure best practices in design, development, and deployment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.

- Drive process improvements and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.

Requirements :

- 6 - 8 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2- 3 years in a lead or managerial role.

- Prior experience working in a service-based company is a must.

- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development.

- Proven experience in client-facing roles - capable of managing stakeholder expectations effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Must be willing to work full-time from the office.

- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or similar).

- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, APIs, microservices, and scalable application development.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Good knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment workflows.

- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Familiarity with frontend or backend frameworks depending on the tech stack (React, Angular, Spring Boot, Django, Express, etc.).

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
