About this Role :

The Cloud Operations Expert will be part of the Cloud team and will be responsible for the operation of cloud environments used to virtualise network functions within Vodafones core network. The role supports multi-vendor cloud platforms and works closely with stakeholders across markets, design teams, vendors, and internal customers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient cloud operations.

You have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, are comfortable working in high-pressure situations, and demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills. You are committed to continuous learning and can effectively support complex cloud environments while maintaining service quality.

What you will do :

- Manage and support a mixed environment of VMware vSphere, VMware Tanzu, VMware NSX, and Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS).

- Support storage and network technologies within cloud environments.

- Manage critical situations through troubleshooting, incident management, and error handling for cloud platforms.

- Implement security policies and remediate vulnerabilities in line with best practices and company procedures.

- Discuss, evaluate, and coordinate change management, fault management, and service request processes with design and delivery teams, ensuring alignment across markets.

- Evaluate new software versions, firmware, and patches.

- Organise and schedule major upgrades and security patch implementation activities while considering cross-market impacts.

- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across markets, design teams, vendors, and internal customers.

- Organise and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining a strategic multi-market perspective.

- Support incident, change, and problem management activities across multi-vendor cloud platforms, including CNIS.

- Manage the lifecycle of cloud infrastructure across multiple markets.

- Collaborate with design teams, engineering teams, and internal customers across markets.

What skills you need :

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience :

- Strong expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS).

- Deep understanding of storage, SAN, and network architectures.

- Minimum 3 years of system or cloud administration experience with Ericsson CNIS.
