Virohan - Business Data Analyst - Python/SQL

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage end-to-end onboarding of new retail product SKUs, including metadata entry, behavioral attributes, thumbnail linking, and 3D model references.

- Work extensively with Google Sheets and Excel to clean, merge, and manipulate large datasets (1,000+ rows) across multiple sources.

- Write SQL queries to extract, validate, and transform product data from internal databases.

- Ensure functional and behavioral product data is accurately reflected in the platform (e.

, mounting type, materials compatibility, 3D rotation behavior).

- Troubleshoot issues reported through Jira tickets related to product data display or configuration.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA, and other analysts.

- Automate repetitive tasks where possible using tools like Python or Tableau Prep (optional but preferred).

- Match new product specs to existing templates and validate compatibility (e.g. , sinks and faucets, light fixtures for walls vs.ceilings).

- Participate in regular sprint meetings and team check-ins via Slack, Google Meet, etc.

Key Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in a hybrid Business Analyst / Data Analyst role.

- Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, bulk edits).

- Solid SQL skills for querying and joining across multiple tables.

- Experience managing or working with structured product data (PIM or CMS experience a plus).

- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with minimal guidance using available data.

- Comfortable with ambiguity and working independently in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.

- Exposure to Jira, Python, GCP, or basic scripting/automation is a plus.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with 3D asset workflows or retail/eCommerce product catalogs.

- Knowledge of Tableau, Tableau Prep, or similar automation tools.

- Prior exposure to AR/VR platforms or room planning tools.

- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (Google Cloud, BigQuery, etc
