About the Role :

Viha Technosoft is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Commerce Developer to work with one of our top-tier clients in the digital commerce space.

This is a remote opportunity to lead cutting-edge e-commerce initiatives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in headless commerce solutions, enterprise-grade B2B/B2C architecture, and working with platforms like Sitecore Commerce, BigCommerce, or OrderCloud.

You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of high-performance digital commerce applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development and architecture of headless commerce solutions using platforms such as Sitecore Commerce, BigCommerce, or OrderCloud.

- Architect and implement scalable B2B and B2C features, integrations, and custom functionalities based on business needs.

- Design and develop reusable, secure backend components using REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks for real-time communication.

- Leverage BigCommerce APIs and the Stencil framework to create custom themes and commerce experiences.

- Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end commerce solutions.

- Apply n-tier architecture principles and use repository patterns for building maintainable and modular systems.

- Develop integrations with CMS platforms, third-party systems, and payment gateways.

- Manage deployment processes and optimize for performance, scalability, and security.

- Utilize Azure Service Bus or equivalent messaging systems for distributed application workflows.

- Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.

- Ensure version control using Git, manage branching strategies, and support CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of backend development experience with strong exposure to e-commerce platforms.

- Proven expertise in Sitecore Commerce, BigCommerce, or OrderCloud.

- Deep understanding of headless architecture, microservices, and composable commerce.

- Strong programming skills in C#/.NET, Node.js, or JavaScript, depending on platform usage.

- Experience with BigCommerce's Stencil framework, custom theme development, and checkout customizations.

- Proficient with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API design best practices.

- Solid experience in using webhooks for asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus, Service Fabric, or similar messaging systems.

- Knowledge of version control (Git), branching models, and collaborative coding.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
