Role Overview :

We are hiring a Vice President of Engineering to lead our growing engineering team and drive technical delivery for our high-scale consumer products.

This is a hands-on leadership role where youll ensure top-tier execution, manage engineering teams, and architect systems that scale to millions of users.

Youll work closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to turn bold product goals into reality, all while shaping the engineering culture of a fast-growing, product-led company.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and scale the engineering function with a focus on backend excellence and delivery

- Architect, review, and guide implementation of production-grade systems (Java + Spring Boot)

- Stay hands-on in critical tech decisions and development when needed

- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery across projects with clear metrics and accountability

- Define and implement engineering processes, code standards, and DevOps practices

- Hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent while fostering a strong tech culture

- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Business teams to align tech efforts with business outcomes

- Drive backend optimization, scalability, and system reliability for millions of users globally

Requirements :

- 1013 years of experience in backend engineering, with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director/VP level)

- Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture

- Proven experience in scaling systems for high-traffic consumer apps

- Strong foundation in system design, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)

- Proficient in CI/CD, DevOps, and monitoring best practices

- Track record of building and leading high-performance engineering teams

- Ability to balance technical depth with execution focus in fast-paced environments

- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
