Role Overview :

As the VP of Engineering for our India operations based in Bangalore, you will serve as the primary technical leader responsible for scaling our engineering organization and driving the delivery of high-impact software solutions.

You will work closely with the global executive leadership team, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering roadmaps with long-term business objectives.

This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of technical excellence, mentoring high-performing engineering managers, and ensuring our platform architecture remains robust, scalable, and secure to meet the evolving needs of our global customer base. Your leadership will directly influence our market position by accelerating product innovation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and scale large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams by implementing best-in-class hiring, retention, and performance management strategies to ensure a high-performing workforce.

- Define and execute the long-term technical strategy and architectural vision to support rapid business growth and ensure seamless system reliability.

- Collaborate with product and design leadership to translate complex business requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps that deliver measurable value to our end users.

- Optimize the software development lifecycle by implementing agile methodologies and DevOps best practices to improve deployment velocity and code quality.

- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective delivery of engineering initiatives.

- Represent the India engineering organization in global forums, influencing company-wide technical standards and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large-scale engineering organizations, with a proven track record of managing managers and complex distributed teams.

- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and align technical decisions with overarching business goals.

- Strong proficiency in modern software architecture, cloud-native technologies, and scalable distributed systems, coupled with a deep understanding of the current tech landscape.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to build strong relationships with stakeholders across different geographies and time zones.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment, maintaining high levels of team engagement and operational transparency.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute, complemented by 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in software engineering leadership roles.
