Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly experienced VP Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, AI/ML platforms, and large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in building scalable backend platforms, modern data infrastructure, and machine learning ecosystems on AWS cloud environments.

This role requires a strong technical leader and hands-on engineering expert who can architect, build, optimize, and scale high-performance platform solutions while collaborating closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams.

The candidate will play a critical role in driving platform modernization, AI/ML enablement, cloud scalability, and engineering excellence across enterprise-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Platform Engineering & Architecture :

- Design, develop, and scale cloud-native platform solutions using modern engineering principles

- Architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure backend systems and distributed platforms

- Drive platform modernization and cloud transformation initiatives

- Build reusable frameworks, infrastructure services, and engineering accelerators

- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence

AI/ML Platform Engineering :

- Build and optimize AI/ML infrastructure and machine learning platforms

- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to productionize AI/ML models

- Design scalable ML workflows, feature engineering pipelines, and inference systems

- Support model deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management

- Build and optimize large-scale data processing and ML data pipelines

Cloud & Data Engineering :

- Work extensively with AWS cloud ecosystem including :

1. Amazon S3

2. ECS

3. Redshift

4. AWS Glue

- Build scalable data pipelines and distributed data processing systems

- Optimize compute, storage, and cloud resource utilization

- Support batch and real-time data processing frameworks

- Drive automation and cloud-native engineering best practices

System Design & Performance Engineering :

- Solve complex engineering and scalability challenges across platform ecosystems

- Drive architecture reviews, technical governance, and engineering standards

- Optimize platform performance, reliability, fault tolerance, and security

- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Lead technical strategy and engineering decision-making

- Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices in coding, deployment, and architecture

- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams

- Drive innovation, platform engineering maturity, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Technical Skills :

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools

Good to Have Skills :

- Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem and Big Data technologies

- Experience in Financial Services / FinTech domain

- Familiarity with ML Ops and modern data platform architectures

- Experience with real-time data processing frameworks

- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools
