We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Workload Automation Engineer to lead the modernization of enterprise batch processing, workload scheduling, file generation, and third-party integrations. The role will focus on designing, developing, migrating, and operating Azure-native workload automation solutions that modernize or replace legacy on-premises scheduling platforms.

The ideal candidate will combine strong expertise in Azure workload orchestration, batch processing, .NET/C#, enterprise integrations, DevOps, monitoring, and cloud security to build scalable, resilient, and highly automated solutions for critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assess, analyze, and migrate legacy batch jobs, enterprise scheduler workloads, and file-processing processes to Microsoft Azure.

- Design and implement reusable cloud-native workload automation and scheduling frameworks.

- Modernize legacy file-based integrations and consolidate scheduling platforms where appropriate.

- Design and manage complex job dependencies, sequencing, scheduling, orchestration, and event-driven workflows.

- Develop workload automation solutions using Azure Batch, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Automation Runbooks, Azure Container Apps, and AKS.

- Support daily, weekly, monthly, year-end, and event-driven business processing workloads.

- Design and develop automated file-generation processes for CSV, fixed-width, XML, JSON, EDI, and other custom formats.

- Implement secure file and data transfers using SFTP, FTPS, APIs, and Azure Storage.

- Implement data validation, encryption, compression, and processing controls for enterprise file exchanges.

- Develop and maintain automation services and reusable components using C#, .NET 8+, PowerShell, and Python.

- Implement robust logging, exception handling, retries, error recovery, and resiliency mechanisms.

- Design monitoring and observability solutions using Azure Monitor and related Azure-native services.

- Build operational dashboards, alerts, SLA monitoring, failure detection, escalation workflows, and automated remediation.

- Establish workload execution tracking, audit trails, operational reporting, and governance controls.

- Ensure high availability, reliability, and recoverability of workload automation platforms.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Bicep and/or Terraform.

- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud platform engineering best practices.

- Implement secure Azure solutions using Managed Identities, Azure Key Vault, RBAC, Private Endpoints, and secure file-transfer mechanisms.

- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise security, governance, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

- Apply relevant principles from the Azure Well-Architected Framework, particularly security, reliability, operational excellence, and performance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 - 10 years of experience in software engineering, workload automation, batch processing, cloud engineering, or related areas.

- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing workload automation and enterprise batch-processing solutions.

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure-native orchestration services.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Batch, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Automation.

- Experience with Azure Container Apps and/or AKS is desirable.

- Strong programming experience with C# and .NET 8+.

- Good experience with PowerShell and preferably Python.

- Strong understanding of scheduling, job dependencies, workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, and batch processing.

- Experience implementing enterprise integrations using SFTP, FTPS, REST APIs, Azure Storage, and third-party systems.

- Experience generating and processing structured and fixed-format files including CSV, XML, JSON, EDI, and fixed-width formats.

- Strong understanding of application resiliency, retry mechanisms, fault handling, logging, and exception management.

- Experience with Azure Monitor, dashboards, alerting, and operational observability.

- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions and CI/CD implementation.

- Hands-on experience with Bicep and/or Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.

- Good understanding of Managed Identity, Key Vault, RBAC, Private Endpoints, encryption, and secure data transfer.

- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy/on-premises workload automation platforms to Azure.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
