We are seeking a Production Support Engineer / Scripting & Automation Specialist to join our operations team. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data pipelines and batch processes across Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting expertise, hands-on experience with job scheduling tools, and a solid understanding of production support processes, ensuring system reliability, performance, and data integrity.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS :

- Strong scripting skills : Unix Shell (Bash), Python (pandas), Perl, PowerShell.

- Experience with job scheduling & monitoring tools : Autosys, Control-M, Apache Airflow, Cron Jobs, DAGs.

- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.

- Hands-on experience in incident management, ticket resolution, and change management.

- Proficiency in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and bottleneck identification.

- Familiarity with data quality processes : validation, cleansing, reconciliation, anomaly detection.

- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and ITIL frameworks.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical and operational processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY :

- Monitor batch jobs, pipelines, and scheduled tasks using Autosys, Control-M, Airflow, and Cron.

- Troubleshoot & resolve incidents, errors, and system issues through ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.

- Automate operational tasks, reporting, and workflows using Bash, Python (pandas), Perl, or PowerShell.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.

- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and processes to improve system performance.

- Maintain audit trails, documentation, and compliance with ITIL and SDLC standards.

- Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, reconciliation, profiling, and anomaly detection.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments to support change management and production releases.

- Document technical procedures, SOPs, and functional requirements for operational excellence.

EDUCATION :

- Bachelors degree or masters in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
