Job Title : Unix/Linux System Administrator

Experience : 4+ years

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain RHEL Linux and AIX/Unix servers.

- Monitor server health, performance, availability, and system resources.

- Manage users, groups, permissions, LDAP, NIS, PAM, and sudo.

- Develop and maintain Bash, Perl, and Python scripts for system automation.

- Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

- Apply OS patches, security updates, and firewall configurations.

- Manage and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

- Troubleshoot Linux/Unix, networking, storage, and application infrastructure issues.

- Work with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, NFS, SAN, and NAS.

- Use monitoring tools such as Nagios/Zabbix and automation tools such as Ansible/Puppet/Chef.

- Provide Level-3 production support and handle critical incidents.

- Maintain system documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.

- Collaborate with application, development, network, database, security, and infrastructure teams.

- Follow ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
