Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Xstore Consultant (Lead Developer) with expertise in Oracle Retail Xstore POS solutions. The candidate will lead development teams, ensure high-quality deliverables, and work closely with clients and stakeholders to design, build, and support enterprise-level POS solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep functional expertise in Oracle Xstore, and the ability to deliver solutions aligned with best practices and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand requirements, create and review designs, validate architecture, and ensure high-quality service offerings to clients.

- Participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, conduct technical risk planning, and perform code and unit test plan reviews.

- Develop optimized, high-quality code deliverables while ensuring adherence to organizational guidelines and processes.

- Drive coding best practices and ensure compliance across development activities.

- Act as a single point of contact for the project manager and customer to resolve process and technical issues in a timely manner.

- Participate in requirements sessions, remote workshops, and client meetings as needed.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to align development with DevOps processes and propose process improvements.

- Lead and mentor the development team in implementing project deliverables.

- Ensure development activities are delivered on time with high quality and performance standards.

Educational Qualification :

B.E, B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Required Experience & Skills :

- 8+ years of overall IT experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Xstore POS.

- Strong expertise in designing and developing applications using Java/J2EE.

- In-depth understanding of Xstore POS core concepts and architecture.

- Proficient in configuration, customization, development, and support of Oracle Retail Xstore including Xadmin, Xcenter, Xenvironment, Xstore, and Xstore Office Cloud Service (V2324).

- Experience leading Xadmin configuration for optimized system performance.

- Expertise in designing inbound/outbound interfaces with comprehensive technical documentation.

- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.

- Strong foundation in systems analysis, design, architecture fundamentals, unit testing, and SDLC activities.

- Experience in API integrations (SOAP/RESTful/JSON).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business users and stakeholders.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly.

- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Proficient in using and managing code repositories and build tools such as SVN, GIT, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, etc.

- Experience managing a team of developers, ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks.

- Strong knowledge of Xstore application DB schema (mandatory).

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Basic understanding of DevOps tools and processes.

- Exposure to cloud environments and deployment practices.
