About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Java, backend architecture, scalable application development, and modern engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust backend solutions, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and architect scalable, resilient backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Define end-to-end backend architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, maintainability, and reliability.

- Apply Microservices Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to build modular and scalable systems.

- Design and develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Apply software design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and established design patterns.

- Drive technical design discussions and participate in architectural reviews.

- Optimize application performance, concurrency, database interactions, and backend services.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and ensure efficient data access and query performance.

- Ensure clean, maintainable code with appropriate documentation and unit/integration testing.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, product, and other cross-functional teams.

- Explore and integrate GenAI capabilities into backend solutions where applicable.

- Participate in code reviews and mentor developers on architecture and engineering best practices.

- Stay current with emerging backend, cloud, and distributed-systems technologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 9 to 12 years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.

- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and DDD.

- Strong knowledge of REST API design and asynchronous programming.

- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

- Strong understanding of SOLID, DRY, design patterns, and clean-code practices.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving, system-design, and architectural skills.

- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization is preferred.

- Exposure to GenAI-based application development is an advantage.
