We are seeking an experienced Transmission Planning & Migration Engineer with strong expertise in Ericsson MUX I/O and Ciena MUX platforms. The role involves end-to-end planning, design, migration, and optimization of transport networks, ensuring seamless service continuity and minimal customer impact during migrations.

Key Responsibilities :

Planning & Design :

- Perform network planning and design for Ericsson MUX I/O and Ciena MUX-based transmission networks

- Analyze existing transport topology and recommend optimized solutions

- Prepare low-level designs (LLD), migration strategies, and rollback plans

- Capacity planning and traffic grooming for legacy and next-generation transport networks

Migration & Implementation :

- Lead and execute MUX migration activities (legacy to new platforms or inter-vendor migrations)

- Coordinate and perform traffic cutovers, ensuring zero or minimal service impact

- Handle Ericsson MUX I/O and Ciena MUX configurations, cross-connections, and service provisioning

- Support field teams and NOC during migration windows

Documentation & Coordination :

- Prepare and maintain planning documents, migration runbooks, and as-built documentation

- Work closely with NOC, field engineers, vendors, and project managers

- Participate in customer and internal technical discussions

Operations & Troubleshooting :

- Troubleshoot transmission issues related to MUX, interfaces, alarms, and performance degradation

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective and preventive actions

- Optimize network performance post-migration

Mandatory skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson MUX I/O

- Strong experience in Ciena MUX platforms

- Transmission technologies :

1. SDH / PDH / DWDM / OTN

2. STM, E1, Ethernet over SDH

- Network migration planning and execution

- Alarm analysis and performance monitoring
