Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and administer PostgreSQL / Aurora PostgreSQL production databases.

- Manage MongoDB operational databases including replication, indexing, backup, and performance tuning.

- Manage Redis environments used for caching, session storage, low-latency reads, and application performance.

- Monitor database health, CPU, memory, storage, connections, locks, slow queries, replication lag, and capacity.

- Perform backup, restore, PITR, replication, failover, and DR readiness activities.

- Tune SQL queries, indexes, partitions, vacuum, statistics, connection pools, and PostgreSQL configuration.

- Tune MongoDB indexes, query patterns, document growth, replica sets, and storage usage.

- Support Redis key design, TTL strategy, memory usage, eviction policy, persistence, replication, and failover.

- Manage users, roles, privileges, access control, encryption, audit logging, and security hardening.

- Troubleshoot production issues including slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, connection spikes, storage growth, replication lag, and failover issues.

- Support application releases, database changes, migrations, patches, upgrades, and rollback planning.

- Create DBA runbooks, monitoring dashboards, alerts, and operational SOPs.

Required Skills:

- Strong PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning experience.

- Good experience with MongoDB administration and query optimization.

- Good understanding of Redis operations, memory management, persistence, replication, and cache patterns.

- Strong knowledge of backup, restore, replication, HA, DR, monitoring, security, and access management.

- Good understanding of Linux, storage, networking, shell scripting, automation, and production support.

- Experience with pgBouncer, RDS/Aurora, MongoDB replica sets, Redis Sentinel/Cluster, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar tools.

Experience:

- 610 years of DBA experience.

- Strong hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL.

- MongoDB and Redis experience preferred for application/platform workloads.
