What You Will Do :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 8-15 backend and full-stack engineers working on trading platforms and financial services.

- Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for software development within the trading and fintech organization.

- Architect and oversee the development of low-latency, high-throughput microservices that push the boundaries of speed and efficiency.

- Drive the design of critical and high-impact components of trading systems, ensuring fault-tolerance and real-time performance.

- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projectsfrom conception to productionwith zero compromises on quality.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, quant, and trading teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Conduct in-depth code reviews, provide feedback on architecture, design, and code quality while maintaining hands-on involvement.

- Build and refine engineering processes, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, risk-taking, and relentless learning within your team.

- Act as a technical authority and thought leader, staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends in trading systems.

Must-Have Skills :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.

- Proven expertise in building and leading high-performing engineering teams in fintech, trading systems, or high-frequency trading environments.

- Deep technical understanding of backend systems with hands-on experience in Golang, Python, Java, or similar languages.

- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, concurrency, and system design principles.

- Experience with trading infrastructure, market data processing, or low-latency systems.

- Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions and make strategic technical decisions.

- Track record of delivering complex software projects from conception to production at scale.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage up to executives and collaborate horizontally with other departments.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience building trading platforms, algorithmic trading systems, or order management systems (OMS/RMS) from scratch.

- Knowledge of FIX protocol, WebSockets, streaming APIs, and integration with multiple trading

venues (NSE, BSE, CEX).

- Understanding of financial markets, security protocols, and derivatives trading (futures,

perpetual swaps).

- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the engineering community.

- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), real-time data processing, and event-

driven architectures.

- Passion for testing and automation with hands-on experience in TDD, BDD, and test

automation frameworks.
