Tietoevry - Lead React Native Developer - Javascript/TypeScript

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead React Native Developer to join our dynamic team at Tietoevry.

In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-performance, cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, while also contributing to backend services built with Spring Boot. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure digital solutions that align with our mission to create digital futures that benefit businesses, societies, and humanity.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, architect, and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, ensuring smooth performance and native-like user experiences.

- Utilize React Hooks, Context API, and React Navigation to build modern, maintainable applications.

- Integrate native modules and third-party SDKs (e.g., analytics, notifications, authentication).

- Ensure applications are optimized for performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and battery efficiency.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and Java.

- Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to ensure seamless API integration and consistent data flow.

- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data management solutions.

- Work closely with designers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

- Lead and mentor a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices in mobile and backend development.

- Participate in architectural discussions and technical design sessions.

- Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Manage end-to-end mobile deployment processes for Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including app signing, certificates, and release management.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure quick resolution of bugs.

- Ensure secure coding standards, data encryption, and compliance with organizational security policies.

- Write unit, integration, and UI tests to maintain high code quality.

- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in the mobile ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 58 years of professional experience in mobile development using React Native.

- Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React Native fundamentals.

- Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot for backend development.

- Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture.

- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

- Familiarity with Git, GitFlow, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development tools like Jira and Confluence.

- Knowledge of app deployment processes for iOS and Android platforms.

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
