Telecom Systems Engineer/Specialist

About the Role :

We are seeking a Telecom Systems Engineer / Specialist with strong technical expertise across telecom platforms and protocols.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCRF, packet core, mediation, billing, rating and charging, and CRM systems, along with deep knowledge of telecom networks, network protocols, and application servers.

This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to work on complex network and system implementations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain telecom applications and systems, including PCRF, packet core, mediation, billing, rating & charging, CRM, interconnect, and provisioning.

- Work with platforms such as Apache, Cisco devices, Tomcat, and related telecom infrastructure.

- Manage systems running on Linux and Solaris, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

- Implement and troubleshoot network protocols and services including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Radius, Diameter, and AAA.

- Perform patch installations, software upgrades, and firmware updates for telecom applications and hardware.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network implementation and integration projects.

- Conduct root cause analysis, problem diagnosis, and resolution for system and network issues.

- Maintain detailed documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience :

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.

- Strong oral and written communication/documentation skills.

- In-depth knowledge of telecom systems : PCRF, packet core, mediation, billing, rating & charging, CRM, interconnect, provisioning.

- Hands-on experience with Apache, Cisco, JavaScript, JSP, Linux, Solaris, TCP/IP, Radius, Diameter, AAA, Tomcat.

- Experience with patch installations, firmware upgrades, and system maintenance.

- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

- Good understanding of the telecom domain and network operations.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Oracle databases and telecom OSS/BSS environments.

- Exposure to large-scale telecom network deployments.

- Industry certifications in networking, telecom systems, or Linux.
