Summary :

The Senior Technical Documentation Specialist leads the creation and strategy of high-impact technical content across multiple products and audiences. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is technically accurate, user-focused, and aligned with business and product goals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical writer who can drive complex content initiatives, mentor others, and elevate documentation standards across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end documentation process for complex features and systems, from planning to publication

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and support teams to gather information and shape content strategy

- Critically evaluate requirements by asking the right questions to gather complete and precise information.

- Write and maintain user guides, product documentation, API references, and onboarding materials for a variety of audiences

- Define and enforce documentation standards, templates, and workflows across the team

- Review and mentor contributions from junior writers and SMEs to ensure consistency and quality

- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and help evolve the documentation function as a strategic partner

Qualifications :

- 6 - 8 years of experience in technical writing or content development in a software or SaaS environment

- Proven ability to manage multiple documentation projects with competing deadlines

- Expert-level proficiency with documentation tools and systems (e.g., Confluence, Git, Markdown, CMS platforms)

- Strong understanding of technical concepts, APIs, and software development processes

- Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills

- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field
