Technical Support Engineer - Vulnerability Management

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the cybersecurity of our IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems on the shop floor. This role requires a strong understanding of vulnerability management, asset tracking, and security procedures to maintain the integrity and resilience of our critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Management and Mitigation:

- Develop and execute mitigation plans for identified critical risks and vulnerabilities.

- Coordinate with stakeholders and the IT team to apply security patches and firmware updates in a timely manner.

- Actively monitor security alerts and incidents, documenting findings and reporting them to higher-level security personnel.

Asset Management and Documentation :

- Perform asset segregation from security reports to identify unknown assets and match them with existing inventory.

- Document all security procedures, including incident summaries and resolutions.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of security documentation and reports required for sustenance activities.

Support and Operations :

- Address and resolve issues related to cloning processes promptly.

- Update access matrices for all OT applications in the access management register.

- Install and configure security software as per established protocols.

- Create clear and concise PowerPoint presentations for documentation and reporting purposes.

Cybersecurity & Vulnerability :

- Basic knowledge of vulnerability identification and mitigation.

- Understanding of risk analysis on OT assets.

- Experience with change management and patching procedures.

Networking :

Technical Skills :

- Experience with cloning and backup procedures for technical equipment.

Soft Skills :

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to address and resolve technical issues.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment with OT systems.

- Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or SCADA security.

- Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST or IEC 62443.

- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for task automation.

- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+
