Technical Lead - OutSystems

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture :

- Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise applications on the OutSystems platform.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

- Provide hands-on guidance for low-code development best practices, reusable components, and integration patterns.

- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance productivity and quality.

Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Mentor and guide a team of OutSystems developers and engineers, conducting code reviews, training sessions, and skill development initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and quality processes.

- Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Development & Integration :

- Lead the development of enterprise-grade applications, modules, and APIs on OutSystems.

- Integrate OutSystems applications with internal systems, third-party services, and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, REST/SOAP APIs).

- Drive automated testing, CI/CD pipeline setup, and performance optimization for low-code solutions.

Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure clear requirements, realistic timelines, and risk mitigation.

- Provide technical input for proposals, estimations, and planning.

- Identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and ensure project milestones are met.

Key Skills & Competencies :

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong expertise in OutSystems Platform (Reactive Web, Mobile, and PWA applications).

- Proficient in integration techniques : REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and database connectivity.

- Experience with SQL databases, complex queries, and data modeling.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Hands-on experience in performance tuning, security best practices, and application optimization.

Desirable Skills :

- Knowledge of JavaScript, C#, .NET for extending OutSystems functionality.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automated deployment strategies.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 6+ years of application development experience, including 3+ years in OutSystems development and technical leadership.

- OutSystems certification(s) preferred (OutSystems Developer, OutSystems Architect).
