About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native applications and data-driven platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strong programming capabilities in Go (Golang) and Python, and proven experience leading engineering teams in high-performance environments.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can architect distributed systems, mentor developers, optimize cloud infrastructure, and collaborate cross-functionally to build reliable and scalable software products.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers through architecture, design, development, and deployment phases.

- Drive technical excellence, coding standards, best practices, and engineering quality across projects.

- Participate in technical planning, sprint execution, and engineering decision-making.

- Conduct code reviews, performance evaluations, and technical mentoring sessions.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions.

Cloud-Native Application Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure distributed systems.

- Develop backend services and APIs using Go (Golang) and Python.

- Architect event-driven and serverless solutions leveraging GCP services.

GCP Infrastructure & Data Engineering :

- Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform services including :

1. Compute Engine

2. BigQuery

3. Pub/Sub

4. Cloud Functions

5. Cloud Storage

6. Cloud Run (preferred)

7. Kubernetes Engine (GKE) (preferred)

- Design and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Implement secure cloud deployment strategies and infrastructure automation.

Data Engineering & Analytics :

- Develop and optimize BigQuery data models, pipelines, and analytical workloads.

- Write complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.

- Improve query performance, data partitioning, indexing strategies, and cost optimization.

- Collaborate with data teams to support large-scale data processing and analytics initiatives.

Containerization & DevOps :

- Build and manage containerized applications using Docker.

- Deploy and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes and GKE.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

- Monitor application performance, reliability, and system health.

Software Architecture & Scalability :

- Design scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.

- Ensure high system availability, observability, and security compliance.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.

- Drive modernization initiatives and cloud transformation efforts.

Required Candidate Profile :

Mandatory Skills :

- 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend development expertise.

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Technical Leadership role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including :

1. Compute Engine

2. BigQuery

3. Pub/Sub

4. Cloud Functions

- Strong programming expertise in :

1. Go (Golang)

2. Python

- Proficiency in BigQuery and SQL.

- Strong understanding of :

1. Data analysis

2. Data modeling

3. Query optimization

- Experience with :

1. Kubernetes

2. Docker

3. Serverless technologies on GCP

Preferred Skills :

- Experience building scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures.

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

- Understanding of cloud security best practices.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Knowledge of API gateway, messaging systems, and event streaming platforms
