Technical Lead - Backend Technologies

Job Summary :

The Technical Lead is responsible for guiding the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of software solutions.

Acting as the bridge between management, product teams, and developers, the Technical Lead ensures high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

This role involves hands-on development, team mentorship, code reviews, and strategic decision-making to align technology with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive technical architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.

- Review and approve technical designs, system components, and integrations.

- Lead technical discussions and decision-making across the project lifecycle.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

- Participate in coding, debugging, and system troubleshooting.

- Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code following industry best practices.

- Ensure proper use of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

- Maintain documentation for code, design, and deployment processes.

- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and support.

- Conduct regular code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

- Work with project managers and product owners to define project scope, estimates, and timelines.

- Monitor progress, identify risks, and suggest mitigations for technical challenges.

- Ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions within agreed timelines.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups) and enforce Agile best practices.

- Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.

- Guide teams in implementing automated testing, continuous integration, and performance monitoring.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Communicate technical decisions, challenges, and progress to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to align technology with business goals.

- Provide technical insights during product roadmap discussions and strategic planning.

Required Skills & Competencies :

Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, .NET, Node.js, or relevant stack.

- Expertise in web development, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), ORM frameworks, and query optimization.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.

- Solid understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and scalable solutions
