About the Role :

We are seeking an accomplished Software Engineer III - Python, who will serve as a senior individual contributor and emerging technical leader within our engineering teams. In this role, you will own complex system designs, drive high-impact technical initiatives, and mentor junior engineers.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping scalable, AI-first systems that align with our technology vision - elevating engineering standards, influencing cross-functional projects, and contributing to the architecture of next-generation digital products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI) or C#.

- Lead end-to-end implementation of APIs, features, and system components.

- Architect and optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability across data-intensive applications.

- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and the establishment of engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with Product, Data, and UX teams to deliver high-quality, value-driven solutions.

- Leverage AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and code quality.

- Write integration and unit tests, ensuring clean, maintainable, and testable code.

- Contribute to system observability through monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog).

- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote technical excellence across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3- 7 years of experience in backend software development.

- Advanced proficiency in Python (FastAPI preferred) or C#.

- Strong expertise in RESTful API design, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.

- Hands-on experience with :

1. Kafka (for event streaming and data pipelines)

2. PostgreSQL, Redis, and Snowflake (or equivalent data platforms)

- Solid understanding of software design principles, scalability, and performance optimization.

- Experience with integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability platforms (Datadog or similar).

- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to modern data stacks such as dbt, AWS Glue, S3, Dagster, or Starburst.

- Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.

- Familiarity with web scraping tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

- Understanding of AI/ML-driven product development or interest in working with GenAI-based systems.
