Role : Full Stack WordPress Developer

We are looking for a talented Full Stack WordPress Developer with strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, and front-end technologies to join our growing team in Jaffna.

This is not a theme-clicker role were looking for someone who can build and customize WordPress solutions from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and clean code.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress best practices

- Customize existing themes to meet specific design and functional requirements

- Convert designs from Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD into fully responsive WordPress templates

- Utilize Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), shortcodes, and widgets for dynamic site functionality

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

- Optimize site speed and performance using tools like GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, etc.

- Ensure full cross-browser and mobile compatibility for all website components

- Follow WordPress security best practices to safeguard sites from vulnerabilities

- Perform routine maintenance, core/plugin/theme updates, and backups

- Debug and resolve technical issues affecting both front-end and back-end

- Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Stripe)

- Use Git for version control and codebase management

- Deploy and manage sites on shared (cPanel/Plesk) or cloud environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)

- Work closely with UI/UX designers, content creators, and project managers

- Create and maintain technical documentation for plugins, processes, and code structures

- Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior developers if required

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 25 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development

- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3

- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries like jQuery; React is a plus

- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, filters, and the template hierarchy

- Experience with WooCommerce, custom post types, and taxonomies

- Proficiency with version control systems

- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and modern deployment workflows

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and headless WordPress

- Knowledge of WebPack, npm, Gulp, or similar front-end build tools

- Familiarity with Docker or local development environments like Local by Flywheel, XAMPP, or DevKinsta

- Prior experience in an agency or client-facing development role
