Team Pumpkin - Shopify Developer - Liquid Programming

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and enhancing e-commerce storefronts for our clients on Shopify and Shopify Plus. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Liquid programming, Shopify theme development, and modern front-end technologies. You will work collaboratively with design, project management, and strategy teams to deliver high-quality and scalable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and maintain responsive Shopify and Shopify Plus themes using Liquid.

- Build custom themes and modify existing templates based on project needs.

- Serve as the Shopify expert for clients managing integrations, third-party apps, and performance optimization.

- Install, configure, and customize new Shopify themes from scratch or pre-built templates.

- Implement high-performing UI using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues efficiently.

- Work with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.

- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and digital strategists to ensure smooth project execution.

- Deliver tasks on time while maintaining code quality, time management, and documentation standards.

- Uphold strong communication, professionalism, and accountability across all interactions.

Preferred Requirements :

- Experience with end-to-end e-commerce workflows and digital product features.

- Hands-on experience building custom Shopify sections, filters, and layouts.

- Knowledge of Elasticsearch or advanced search and filter implementations.

- Understanding of secure server environments such as AWS or similar platforms.

- Experience implementing subscription models and recurring billing on Shopify.

- Exposure to other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
