Role Summary :

Spectral Consultants is seeking a highly technical and leadership-oriented Lead/Team Analyst to join our operations-focused engineering team in Hyderabad. With 6 to 12 years of professional IT experience, you will serve as a bridge between complex data operations and client-centric solutions. This role demands a dual mastery of Expert-level SQL and Advanced Python, combined with a proven ability to mentor junior engineers. You will be responsible for the end-to-end quality of deliverables, ensuring adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while managing critical client-reported incidents within strict SLAs. As a lead, you will not only troubleshoot complex technical bottlenecks but also act as a strategic partner to client stakeholders, translating business needs into robust, scalable data architectures.

Responsibilities :

- Technical Leadership & Mentorship : Lead and provide technical oversight to a team of 2-3 members, ensuring the adoption of best practices in coding, database management, and troubleshooting.

- SDLC Management : Demonstrate and enforce a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), overseeing requirements analysis, design, development, and testing phases.

- Advanced Python Engineering : Design and implement high-performance Python scripts for automation, data processing, and operational efficiency.

- Expert-Level SQL Programming : Architect complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimizations; manage large-scale data sets using professional database tools.

- Incident Management & Troubleshooting : Own and resolve complex client-reported technical incidents, performing deep-dive debugging and ensuring resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, utilizing superior presentation and communication skills to provide technical updates and strategic recommendations.

- Quality Assurance & Detail Orientation : Maintain an obsessive focus on code quality, technical documentation, and data accuracy to ensure zero-defect delivery.

- Process Optimization : Identify bottlenecks in current operations and implement Python-based or SQL-driven solutions to enhance team productivity and system reliability.

- Domain & Tech Exploration : Maintain a growth mindset by continuously learning and integrating new technologies and business domains into the teams service offerings.

- Operational Strategy : Partner with operations teams to streamline workflows and improve the overall stability of the production environment.

Technical Requirements :

- Core Development : 6-12 years of professional IT experience, with a significant background in Python development and backend operations.

- SQL Mastery : Expert-level proficiency in SQL Programming (DML, DDL, DCL) and hands-on experience with professional database management tools (e.g., SSMS, DBeaver, ToAD).

- Mentorship Track Record : Proven experience in a "Lead" or "Senior" capacity, managing and coaching at least 2-3 technical team members.

- Debugging & Problem Solving : Exceptional analytical skills for root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting complex production issues.

- Operations Context : Prior experience working with or within IT operations teams to support live client environments.

- Communication : High-level oral, written, and presentation skills suited for client-facing technical leadership.

Preferred Skills :

- Data Engineering Tools : Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Pandas, or NumPy).

- Cloud Platforms : Basic exposure to cloud-based data services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Agile/Scrum : Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

- Performance Tuning : Advanced knowledge of database indexing, partitioning, and query performance tuning.

- Automation Mindset : Experience in using Python for task automation and system health monitoring.
