Role Overview :

As a Network Engineer at TCS Bangalore, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security specialists, and application developers, to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability.

This role involves working on diverse networking projects, providing technical support, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the network environment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining seamless connectivity and supporting the company's business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement network solutions based on business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

- Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to optimize network performance.

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, resolving incidents and minimizing downtime for end-users.

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs, to protect the organization's data and systems.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT infrastructure components, improving overall system efficiency.

- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, providing clear and concise information for future reference.

- Participate in network upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and smooth transitions.

- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers, fostering their professional development and contributing to team knowledge.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches, maintaining network stability and reliability.

- Proficient in implementing and managing firewall solutions, safeguarding the network from external threats and unauthorized access.

- Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLAN, STP), enabling efficient network traffic management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively diagnosing and resolving network issues in a timely manner.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

- Hold a valid CCNA and/or CCNP certification, demonstrating a solid foundation in networking principles and technologies.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
