Tanium Administrator/Engineer - Endpoint Management

Job Title : Tanium Administrator / Engineer.

Location : Pune.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to manage and optimize the Tanium platform across a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in endpoint management, security compliance, and automation, with hands-on experience administering multiple Tanium modules. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant IT operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and configure Tanium modules such as Patch, Deploy, Inventory, Comply, Connect, and Discover.

- Monitor system health, performance, and compliance metrics via the Tanium Console.

- Troubleshoot endpoint connectivity and client health issues across large environments.

- Develop and maintain custom sensors, packages, dashboards, and reports.

- Automate operational tasks using scripting languages ( PowerShell, Bash, Python ).

- Integrate Tanium with enterprise tools like SIEM, ITSM , and other IT/security platforms.

- Support onboarding of new endpoints and maintain infrastructure documentation.

- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external standards ( CIS, NIST ).

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process and tool improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications :

- 7-10 years of experience in IT operations, endpoint management, or security management.

- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.

- Proficiency in scripting languages ( PowerShell , Bash ).

- Experience with endpoint protection, patching, and software deployment tools.

- Strong analytical , problem-solving , and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience managing Tanium production environments.

- Exposure to SCCM , RHEL Satellite , or similar endpoint management tools.

- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS and NIST.

- Tanium Fundamentals or Tanium Certified Operator certification.
