Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade dashboards and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and data teams to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-performance Tableau visualizations. This role requires strong expertise in dashboard development, performance optimization, security, and production support in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities :

- Translate business requirements, wireframes, and prototypes into functional, visually compelling Tableau dashboards.

- Design intuitive, user-friendly layouts following data visualization best practices and UX principles.

- Develop dashboards that support operational, analytical, and executive-level reporting.

- Quickly build and iterate dashboards based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.

- Partner with users to validate dashboard usability and accuracy during development and UAT.

- Monitor dashboard performance, data freshness, and data quality in production environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data sources, extracts, permissions, and performance during UAT and production support windows.

- Provide timely support across IST and UK working hours.

- Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) and user access for large user groups (~1,000 users).

- Ensure dashboards and data access comply with enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups across multiple time zones.

- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, data engineers, and business partners.

- Support UAT activities, create user documentation, and provide knowledge transfer.

- Assist with release cycles, platform upgrades, and regression testing.

- Validate dashboards post-release to ensure accuracy, performance, and compatibility.

- Align dashboards with Mercury data models, data governance standards, and enterprise analytics frameworks.

- Optimize Tableau workbooks, queries, and extracts to handle large and complex datasets efficiently.

- Apply best practices for performance tuning, including aggregation, indexing, and extract optimization.


Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience as a Tableau Developer / Tableau Engineer.

- Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.

- Advanced knowledge of calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, and dashboard actions.

- Experience with row-level security (RLS) and user access management.

- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
