Tableau Developer - Data Visualization

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tableau Developer to join our analytics and business intelligence team.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Tableau Desktop and Server platforms, have strong proficiency in SQL, data integration, and ETL, and demonstrate an exceptional ability to translate data into compelling, user-friendly visualizations that drive actionable insights.

This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, design acumen, business understanding, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business users, data analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Develop and maintain dashboards on Tableau Server, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and user experience.

- Use advanced Tableau features such as Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, parameters, filters, sets, actions, and calculated fields.

- Utilize Tableau Prep and other tools to clean, transform, and model data for reporting use cases.

- Optimize dashboards for performance by tuning queries, managing extracts, and implementing best practices.

- Create and manage custom landing pages and dashboard navigation to enhance user journeys on Tableau Server.

- Conduct end-to-end testing of Tableau dashboards for data accuracy, usability, and business logic alignment.

- Use SQL and ETL tools (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica, Talend) to query, validate, and manipulate large datasets from various sources.

- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders in an agile development environment, participating in sprints and delivering rapid prototypes as needed.

- Document solutions, processes, data sources, and user guides for developed dashboards and reporting systems.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Deep expertise in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server platforms.

- Proficiency in SQL programming and query performance optimization.

- Experience with ETL processes and tools for data integration.

- Strong working knowledge of Snowflake or equivalent cloud-based data platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver data-driven storytelling and dashboards aligned with UX/UI best practices.

- Familiarity with data modeling, data blending, and complex data structures.

- Experience with Tableau Prep for data wrangling and job scheduling.

- Proven track record of building enterprise-grade dashboards with high data volumes and user concurrency.

- Ability to develop visualizations that balance analytical depth with simplicity and usability.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing development cycles.

- Experience in dashboard and query optimization for performance tuning on Tableau Server
