Location : Pune ( 5 Days WFO )

Role Overview :

As a System Engineer based in our Pune office, you will be responsible for the stability, scalability, and performance of our core backend services. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to oversee the lifecycle of our microservices, ensuring that production environments remain highly available and efficient.

This role is critical in bridging the gap between development and operations, directly impacting the reliability of the search platforms that our clients depend on for their daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to enhance the functionality and performance of our search infrastructure.

- Manage end-to-end production support, including troubleshooting complex system issues and performing root cause analysis to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with the development team to streamline deployment pipelines and automate routine maintenance tasks for improved operational efficiency.

- Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization across distributed environments.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and incident response procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across the engineering department.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining microservices architecture using Java and the Spring Boot framework.

- Proven ability to manage production support in high-traffic environments, including incident management and system debugging.

- Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective, long-term solutions.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical stakeholders and articulate complex system requirements.

- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Pune, contributing to a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement.

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in backend engineering.
