Who We're Looking For :

The Software Development Engineer II is a developing level engineering position focused on design, development, troubleshooting, and analysis of Syniverse products.

This role is responsible for defining, participating in, and supporting all required testing activities to ensure all developing process and controls are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.

Some Of What You'll Do :

Scope of the Role :

Direct Reports : This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities :

- Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products.

- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.

- Assisting peers in product and systems technical details, management of issues and all aspects of the respective role.

- Coordinate installation of Software System/Releases/Builds.

- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

- Should manage issues of differing stages of investigation and priority with Inputs from team members.

- Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information.

- Maintain technical expertise by keeping abreast of technologies as they apply to Syniverse products and services. Execute post release health checks.

- Timely escalations, follow-ups and responses.

- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

- Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.

Experience, Education, And Certifications :

- Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology (B.E/ B.Tech) and/or postgraduate of computer science (M.Sc./MCA) with basic knowledge in JAVA, Unix, Shell Scripting, RDBMS concepts, PL/SQL.

- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in the areas of application support, programming languages, software development into java spring boot, Apache Kafka, mongo db., stream, Rest API, Microservices.

- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, in coding, testing, supporting, troubleshooting, configuring, and supporting Unix servers and storage servers and management software.

- Understands some basics of AI as in LLM, Usage of calling Claude, OpenAI, Gemini , AI Agent Basics would be good to have skills.

Additional Requirements :

- Working knowledge of Java, J2EE, UNIX, Oracle Database and SQL.

- Ability to communicate status updates to project team and management.
