Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Consultant a Centreon monitoring platform expert and Control-M scheduling specialist to own production observability across our Symphony GOLD managed-services portfolio and serve as key technical resource for a tier-1 Spanish grocery account, particularly for new store openings. The consultant has designed and implemented monitoring for numerous strategic managed-services customers, developing hundreds of proactive checks, alerts, and automated notifications covering application availability, Night Batch execution, interfaces, infrastructure, databases, and business-critical processes. The role combines monitoring architecture with Control-M workload orchestration and new-customer monitoring implementation, keeping production environments stable, observable, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve application and infrastructure monitoring on the Centreon platform.
- Develop proactive checks, alerts, and automated notifications across application availability, Night Batch execution, interfaces, infrastructure, databases, and business-critical processes.
- Tune alerts, optimize thresholds, correlate events, and reduce false positives to improve operational efficiency.
- Integrate monitoring with incident-management and notification systems for rapid detection and response.
- Administer the Control-M scheduling platform: job scheduling, workflow orchestration, dependencies, calendars, error recovery, production automation.
- Act as key technical resource for new store openings on the embedded tier-1 account: planning, execution, and production readiness with minimized operational risk.
- Use Linux administration and shell scripting for automation and monitoring enhancements; use Oracle SQL for database-health monitoring and data validation.
- Participate in the rotational 24/7 on-call duty for L1 support (monitoring first response).
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise application/production operations.
- Centreon monitoring platform expertise: architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement at scale.
- Control-M administration expertise: scheduling, orchestration, dependencies, calendars, error recovery.
- Strong Linux administration and shell scripting; good Oracle SQL.
- Fluent English; CET availability aligned to the account's change windows.
