Job Description

Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, modernization, and operation of scalable cloud platforms and microservices-based applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, microservices, Kubernetes, DevOps, and cloud-native engineering.

Experience in the Healthcare domain is highly desirable, particularly in environments involving healthcare applications, data, security, compliance, and integration.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the architecture, design, development, and modernization of enterprise cloud platforms.

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available platforms across GCP and AWS.

- Lead the migration and modernization of legacy applications into cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.

- Define and implement platform engineering standards, frameworks, reusable components, and best practices.

- Provide technical leadership for microservices, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, service mesh, and event-driven architectures.

- Drive DevOps and CI/CD automation across application and infrastructure platforms.

- Work closely with application, security, infrastructure, architecture, and product teams to deliver enterprise solutions.

- Establish platform observability covering logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, performance, and reliability.

- Drive Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform.

- Ensure platforms meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, availability, performance, and disaster recovery.

- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, design decisions, and engineering best-practice adoption.

- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to platform and cloud engineering teams.

- Identify opportunities to improve existing platforms through upgrade, modernization, automation, and technology refresh initiatives.

- Stay current with emerging cloud-native technologies and continuously recommend improvements to the platform ecosystem.

Tech Stack & Requirements :

- Cloud : Strong hands-on experience with GCP and AWS; cloud networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases, security, and managed services.

- Microservices : Strong understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, REST APIs, API gateways, messaging, and event-driven architecture.

- Containers : Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), Helm, service mesh, and container security.

- DevOps : Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub/GitLab/Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

- Observability : Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, SRE practices, and SLIs/SLOs.

Healthcare Domain (Preferred) :

- Healthcare applications, data, integration, HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability.

- Healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to lead distributed engineering teams and drive technical initiatives.

- Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities.

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in software/platform/cloud engineering, with significant experience in technical leadership.

- Proven experience delivering microservices and cloud modernization programs.

Preferred Certifications :

- Google Professional Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.

- Terraform Associate or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code certification.
