This role is for a skilled developer focused on Python and Odoo (OpenERP), passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable ERP applications to meet complex business requirements.

Based in Ahmedabad, the incumbent will be central to the development, customization, and deployment of critical Odoo modules (CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory).

The role requires a blend of hands-on coding expertise, system analysis, and the ability to Lead projects with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python/Odoo Developer to customize and maintain our Odoo ERP system.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and Odoo development frameworks, capable of analyzing business needs, creating robust technical specifications, and writing clean, testable code for core modules like CRM, Sales, Purchase, and Inventory.

This is a collaborative role that demands technical leadership and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables

- Odoo Module Development: Develop and customize Odoo modules across core business functions, including CRM, Sales, Purchase, and Inventory, ensuring solutions align with organizational needs.

- Code Quality and Efficiency: Write clean, testable, and efficient code using Python, adhering to Odoo's framework and industry best practices.

- Requirements Analysis and Specification: Analyze business requirements gathered from stakeholders and translate them into detailed, accurate technical specifications and design documentation.

- Project Leadership: Lead projects throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to deadlines and scope with a problem-solving and proactive attitude.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, end-users, IT infrastructure) to gather feedback, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure timely delivery.

- Integration and Optimization: Perform data migrations, custom reports generation, and integrate Odoo with external systems where necessary.

- Maintenance and Support: Provide technical support and maintenance for deployed Odoo modules, including debugging and performance optimization.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Core Technology: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in Python.

- ERP Platform: Expertise in Odoo (OpenERP) development, customization, and administration.

- Module Expertise: Proven ability to customize and develop within core Odoo modules (CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory).

- Development Practices: Experience writing clean, testable, and efficient code.

- SDLC Skills: Demonstrated ability to Analyze business requirements and create technical specifications.

- Leadership: Ability to Lead projects and work proactively with a problem-solving attitude.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with PostgreSQL database (Odoo's primary database).

- Familiarity with Odoo's ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) framework.

- Experience with front-end technologies used in Odoo (JavaScript, XML/QWeb).

- Knowledge of Git version control
