Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced D365 Data Migration SME with strong technical and functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data migration, performance optimization, and Dynamics 365 technical design and development.

This role requires hands-on experience in managing large-scale data migrations, validating migrated data, and ensuring smooth deployment in production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Migration & Management :

- Lead and execute data migration activities using the Data Migration Framework (DMF) tool.

- Perform migration of large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy and integrity.

- Validate and test migrated data to ensure completeness and correctness.

- Define and manage data entities for migration and integration.

- Collaborate with functional teams to understand source and target data structures.

Technical Design & Development :

- Design and develop solutions using X++, C#, SSRS, and BI tools within D365.

- Develop custom scripts, reports, and data transformation logic to support migration.

- Implement performance optimization techniques including X++ code tuning, D365 component troubleshooting, SQL performance improvements, and environment monitoring.

Performance Optimization & Environment Management :

- Monitor and optimize application performance, including AXPerf analysis and LCS environment monitoring.

- Ensure system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for D365 components.

- Manage environment setup, release management, ALM, TFS, build processes, installation, and configuration of related components.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful migration and deployment.

- Provide technical guidance and best practices for data migration, validation, and environment management.

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues across D365 environments.

Mandatory Skills :

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 technical design and development expertise (X++, C#, SSRS, BI).

- Strong experience with data migration using DMF.

- Experience with large-volume data migration and validation/testing.

- Knowledge of data entities and data structure mapping.

- Performance optimization experience for X++ applications, SQL queries, and D365 components.

- Environment and release management experience, including ALM, TFS, build processes, and configuration.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience in D365 F&O implementations.

- Familiarity with LCS environment monitoring tools.

- Knowledge of integration with other Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 6+ years of experience in D365 technical design, development, and data migration.
