Role Overview :

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of BI Engineering to lead backend engineering efforts for scalable C++/Unix platforms. This senior leadership role demands deep technical expertise, architectural vision, and strong collaboration skills to drive business intelligence innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Set and execute the technical vision and strategy for scalable C++/Unix backend systems supporting business intelligence.

- Lead and inspire engineering leadership teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions aligned with business goals.

- Collaborate with global stakeholders across product, architecture, operations, and executive leadership.

- Oversee system design, scalability, reliability, and performance tuning efforts.

- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.

- Lead organizational change management related to software engineering practices and technology adoption.

- Ensure robust operational practices including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.

- Drive investment in tooling, automation, and CI/CD pipelines to improve engineering efficiency.

- Mentor senior engineering leaders and cultivate future technology leaders within the organization.

- Manage budget, resources, and vendor relationships as needed to support engineering objectives.

Requirements :

- 15+ years of software engineering experience with strong modern C++ expertise.

- Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

- Proven experience leading large distributed engineering teams and complex software projects.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and system monitoring tools.

- Exceptional strategic thinking and communication skills to work with both technical and business leaders.

- Expertise in networking protocols and distributed systems design.

- Advanced knowledge of C++20, Boost, STL, and other modern C++ libraries.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

- Familiarity with Java (Spring Boot) and Redis.
