Stratacent - Senior Java Engineer - Spring Boot/Microservices Architecture

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

This role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for building resilient, secure, and highly available enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.

- Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

- Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.

- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.

- Develop and deploy applications on Kubernetes-based platforms.

- Build and maintain containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.

- Support cloud-native deployment models and distributed systems architecture.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

- Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and security best practices.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and fellow engineers.

- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

- Deliver high-quality software within Agile development cycles.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams.

- Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA).

- Monitor application health and proactively identify operational risks.

- Support application stability, resilience, and observability initiatives.

- Maintain system documentation and technical artifacts.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of software development experience with Java technologies.

- Strong hands-on experience in :

a. Java 8/11/17+

b. Spring Boot

c. Spring Cloud

d. REST API Development

e. Microservices Architecture

f. Hibernate/JPA

- Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.

- Experience with Docker and cloud-native development practices.

- Good understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and object-oriented programming.

- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

- Ability to write unit, integration, and regression tests.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
