Role : Storage and Backup Administrator

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage and Backup Administrator to join our dynamic infrastructure team in Bhubaneshwar. This pivotal role involves the day-to-day management, optimization, and troubleshooting of our enterprise storage and backup systems, ensuring the highest levels of data availability, integrity, and performance. You will collaborate closely with our DevOps, Database, and Application teams, providing critical support for our core business operations and strategic initiatives. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to maintain business continuity, protect vital data assets, and support the scalable growth of our applications, ultimately safeguarding our customer data and enabling seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level SAN storage solutions, with a strong focus on NetApp platforms, to ensure optimal performance and capacity for critical applications.

- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data recoverability and business continuity objectives are met.

- Administer and optimize storage infrastructure specifically for MySQL databases, collaborating with database administrators to enhance performance and reliability.

- Provide expert support for persistent storage requirements within containerized environments, including OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters, enabling scalable and resilient application deployments.

- Monitor storage and backup system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent service disruptions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define storage requirements, plan future capacity, and integrate new technologies effectively.

- Ensure compliance with data retention policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements across all storage and backup operations.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing enterprise SAN environments, particularly with NetApp storage systems.

- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage robust backup and recovery solutions for complex IT infrastructures.

- Strong understanding of storage provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for MySQL databases.

- Hands-on experience with persistent storage solutions and volume management within OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a meticulous approach to system administration and incident resolution.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline is highly preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, on-site team environment in Bhubaneshwar, contributing actively to team success and knowledge sharing.
