Role : Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud & Data)

Project / Requirement Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and manage scalable, cloud-native data platforms on GCP. The role focuses on platform engineering, governance, automation, secure data access, and platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Engineering:
- Design and develop cloud-native platform foundations on GCP.
- Create reusable templates for data storage, access control, and environment setup.
- Enable self-service onboarding for data teams.
- Support scalable and reliable platform architecture for enterprise data workloads.
Identity & Access Management:
- Integrate Okta with GCP IAM and Snowflake.
- Implement SSO, RBAC, and least-privilege access controls.
- Automate user provisioning and lifecycle management.
Governance & Security:
- Implement PII tagging, masking, and column-level security.
- Work with BigQuery policy tags and Snowflake tagging.
- Ensure compliance, governance, auditability, and secure data access.
Automation & Infrastructure:
- Automate provisioning, access control, and metadata management.
- Utilize Terraform, Python, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Observability & Reliability:
- Monitor platform usage, access, and data quality.
- Build alerting, logging, and audit mechanisms.
- Ensure platform reliability and operational excellence through CI/CD and monitoring practices.
Tech Stack:
- GCP (BigQuery, GCS, IAM), Snowflake, Okta, Python, SQL, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
