Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced - Senior Java Backend Developer- with 5+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in - Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native technologies- , along with a passion for building high-quality software solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Application Development & Architecture :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend services using - Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot- .

- Develop and integrate - RESTful APIs- to support business applications and external integrations.

- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and the development of scalable, high-performance solutions.

- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including clean code principles, design patterns, and maintainable architecture.

2. DevOps & Cloud Technologies :

- Work with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and modern deployment environments.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation for streamlined software delivery.

- Support infrastructure-related activities, including application deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.

3. Quality, Security & Performance :

- Implement software testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and security best practices.

- Identify and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.

- Ensure applications meet security, reliability, and compliance requirements.

4. Collaboration & Agile Delivery :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders.

- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

- Contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

5. Business & Product Orientation :

- Develop an understanding of retail and business processes to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

- Apply product-thinking principles and user-centric approaches when designing and implementing solutions.

- Leverage data and analytics to support debugging, performance improvements, and informed decision-making.

6. Leadership & Continuous Improvement :

- Provide technical guidance and contribute to strategic engineering decisions.

- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.

- Promote cost-effective engineering practices while maintaining quality and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.

- Strong expertise in - Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development- .

- Solid understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and scalable application architecture.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies, and CI/CD practices.

- Knowledge of software security principles, code quality standards, and performance optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern software delivery practices.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in - Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering- , or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in retail, e-commerce, or product-based environments.

- Exposure to microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development.

- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
