Key Skills to Succeed in This Role : Statistical Developer/Programmer
- This group provides statistical expertise across diverse activities in drug development, manufacturing and regulatory submissions, covering both small and large molecule entities.
- The selected candidate will work closely with statisticians and Science & Technology lines within Pharmaceutical Sciences, supporting statistical deliverables for drug substance, drug product, analytical method development, and regulatory activities.
Requirements :
- MS or PhD. in Statistics, or a related field, with relevant work experience, preferably in a laboratory science environment.
- Demonstrated application of statistical methods, including descriptive and inferential statistics, general linear and mixed models and statistical design of experiments.
- Strong computational/programming skills: proficient in programming with html, R, Python, SQL or equivalent, knowledge of a variety of commercial statistical/computational packages, familiar with Linux, cloud computing and high performance computing environment.
- Independently develop and deploy statistical / computation applets using Python and R.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain statistical concepts in the context of experimental goals.
- Good team player with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.
- The ability to be independent and learn new skills quickly.
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently.
Desired :
- Coursework in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, engineering).
- Prior experience working in pharmaceutical research and development.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Tableau.
- Working knowledge in applying statistics in process characterization, analytical method transfer, validation, stability and shelf life predictions
- Experience in database
